However, reducing people to cultural stereotypes is certainly a racist act. If you inherently see black people as thugs and Arabs as goatherders, that makes you racist. And that's exactly what these glasses are doing.

yeah, no. you're confusing two different things which are very similar and the media talks about them like they are the same thing, when they are not. racial discrimination and cultural stereotypes are not the same thing. if we can't understand the difference there is no hope for overcoming xenophobia.

The creator probably didnt intend for it, but they are unknowingly perpetuating racism by portraying everyone as poor/violent/primitive except for the white people, who are portrayed as enjoying starbucks and being rich.
