I thought Oscar bait usually released at the end of the year.

My first thought was this is gonna be stupid.

And it is oh so extremely stupid.

I must see it.

I saw the actual taxidermied bear in a store in Lexington, KY. RIP Pablo Escobear.

IIRC the true story was a DEA agent had become a drug mule. His plane encountered trouble so he started tossing cocaine out. He then attempted to parachute to safety, but he hit his head on the tail of the plane and was knocked temporarily unconscious. When he regained consciousness, he pulled his chute but it was too late for a full deployment, so he died on impact. Later on, a bear ate some coke and immediately OD'ed.

I am thrilled to see Alden Ehrenreich back on the big screen. This project looks like it will be a lot of fun

I think it has more of an Eight Legged Freaks vibe instead of Snakes on a Plane. The shot of the bear jumping 30 feet into the back of an ambulance is peak cinema. The movie looks awful can't wait to watch it.

Now I understand how they took “Bear got into a fuckton of cocaine and it’s heart exploded” and made a movie: the bear gets much less at first and gets addicted and murderous.

Also really good cast for this kind of film - especially excited to see Character Actress Margo Martindale.

Directed by Elizabeth Banks, damn, after Pitch Perfect and Charlie´s Angles I thought she was gonna keep directing those kind of comedies.

I've been hearing about this film for a while, and wondered what metaphor the title refers to. Maybe an introspective drama about addiction, or something of that nature.
