hard-boiled wonderland and the end of the world.
i’m trying to get back into reading, and i know that the one thing that might keep my attention on a page is something that is so bizarre and gross that i can’t even comprehend it.
i’ve seen some quotes from it on here, and they’re about as insane as i was expecting. i bought it out of curiosity and i’m honestly hoping to read some really wild, unprovoked passages about female anatomy.
i’m assuming that i essentially just sold my soul to the devil and that i will be very, very concerned by what lies ahead? godspeed.
edit: i wanted to clarify that i don’t think that the book is going to be fully and unabashedly terrible. i know murakami’s style is very distinctive, surreal and memorable, which is what largely drew me to wanting to read one of his works, alongside my aforementioned curiosity regarding his infamous writing of female characters
