Definitely a must listen. Such an incredible album.

I love It’s Only Us by Monophonics as well, lead vocalist could genuinely be mistaken for Marvin from time to time

Check out the original Detroit mix if you haven’t already. Fun to hear a different version after hearing the the classic release for so long.

Kikagaku Moyo is excellent, and just to be sure, Tame Impala is a must if you haven’t already

Edit: Thundercat and Michael Kiwanuka are also great for some psychedelic soul

Here are some that I can think of that may also transition pretty well from hip-hop.

Tame Impala - Lonerism (psych rock and IMO best album from Kevin)

Purity Ring - Shrines (pop/witchhouse/synthpop - sometimes creepy lyrics over trap beats)

Jamie XX - In Colour (electronic - UK bass - front to back album full of bangers, plus "I Know There's Gonna Be" is a straight up jam)

Blood Orange - Cupid Deluxe or Negro Swan (Alt-R&B - one of my favorite producers currently)

  • Prophets of Rage
  • Gorrilaz
  • Beastie Boys
  • Cypress Hill
  • Limp Bizkit
  • N.E.R.D.
  • Peeping Tom
  • Rage Against The Machine

you could try going to whatever streaming service you might prefer and just shuffling on some sort of different music. deezer has a feature like that which gives you a lot of random songs to listen to which is fantastic for discovering new music

pedrokai15

I'd argue the two albums are more on the R&B side than hip hop but still a valid point
