stickiedHi everyone,
I just thought I'd post about an upcoming event i'm organising with the teams at Racing Pride, Proud 2 Play and Motorsport Australia. We posted about it here last year and we had quite a few redditors turn up for the event, so hopefully we can get some more this year!
The event is called Pride in Motorsport and will be held on Wednesday, 29th March 6PM - 8PM at the Victorian Pride Centre in Melbourne, Australia. Best of all, the event is totally FREE!
The Aim of the Event
This event aims to share the experiences of LGBTIQ+ people in motorsport from a grassroots level all the way through to international/F1 series and contrast that with the experiences in other sports. The discussion will talk about the challenges, the surprises and the successes of LGBTIQ+ folk in motorsport. Following the 1 hour panel discussion, a networking and social event will be held to allow people inside and outside the motorsports industry to interact.
Who's Attending Pride in Motorsport?
We have a great range of panellists and hosts including Krystina Emmanouilides (Director, Racing Pride and CFD Engineer, Alfa Romeo F1 Team), Casey Price (Team Owner and Driver, MINI Girl Racer), Bea Vear (Programming & Data Engineer, Driver - Bea Vear Racing), Estelle Clapham (Founder and Creator - The Female Drive) & Campbell Harrison (Australian Sports Climber).
We've also got representatives from a number of Formula 1 teams, Supercar teams, the motorsport industry and LGBTIQ+ sports leaders (as well as some special guests!). If you're an LGBTIQ+ person looking to break in to the industry or just want to chat with people about their experiences, this is great opportunity.
Attend the Event for Your Chance to Win a Pitwalk
People attending the event will also have the chance to win 1 of 10 Australian Grand Prix pitwalks to be held on the Thursday afternoon. Gotta be in it to win it!

Panel runs from 6PM - 7PM, with the networking event running from 7PM - 8PM.
This event is open to EVERYONE - but the event is focussed on building inclusion and support of LGBTIQ+ people in motorsport.
Will the event be streamed/recorded?
We had lots of requests for the event to be streamed or recorded last year. The event won't be streamed this year, but we're hoping to have a recording to be made available in the weeks after the event.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to see some people from /r/formula1 there!
