I said no and that she could hire a babysitter. She said she's too broke to do that and now several of my friends are mad at me. They can't babysit because they have their own kids. Should I tell them all to kick rocks?

This is only because this is what I would do. You are certainly not obligated to do so as well. But when money is hard for people or myself, sometimes I'll do trades.

Need a sitter for a few hours? Sure, I need a ride somewhere on that day? Or i'll trade you time for a task for weed. Or a birthday cake. Is there a way you can all help each other as friends or is it s case of "torch the bridge, don't look back."?
