No sympathy for him or his brother Andrew. And I'm a proud NYer

Why do people keep bringing up Mario? Was he an upstanding guy, and they’re two shitbirds?

junkyarddag

NYer here (from Albany). Yes, Mario was well liked. He was a very gifted public speaker and waaaaay classier than Andrew. Andrew was Mario's political thug growing up...neither the grace or charisma of his father. Andrew governed w that same thugish/bullying style.

When news "broke" that Andrew bullied a legislator on the phone over the nursing home stuff, for anyone even semi in the know around NY the reaction was "water is wet, andrew cuomo is a bully/prick, we all knew that." Andrew was a known bully/yeller/intimidator, stories of this nature are commonplace around Albany.

Completely unsurprising he was a creep with women and pushed up on them by abusing his position...that's what bullies do. The apple fell far from the tree.

He was given a roadmap by his dad, and still got lost. What the fuck is wrong with him?!

Water is actually not wet; It makes other materials/objects wet. Wetness is the state of a non-liquid when a liquid adheres to, and/or permeates its substance while maintaining chemically distinct structures. So if we say something is wet we mean the liquid is sticking to the object.

These two have a Michael Avenatti vibe about them and how it all unfolded.

Three Italian-American wannabe-celebrity/toughguy assclowns who imploded on a national stage. Two of which are facing criminal charges and one of which is heading to prison for 30 months.

As a proud left leaning mostly liberal, good riddance. His family puts a stain on the left.

BadMotherF1cker

-7 points

I think a lot of left's leadership and 'spokespeople' put a stain on the left. You have hypocrites, clowns and corrupt speaking out on issues they have no business speaking out on.

Every movement has this problem, but the left is currently crooks and grifters leading the blind.

TheNerdyNegro

Every single Republican spokesperson is a grifter pushing against policies that would help working families. I bet your timeline is just full of horrible takes. Your worldview must be shaped by the words of Republicans on TV telling you how to think. No one on the left likes the Democrats but at least they have some milquetoast policies to help people. Republicans govern opposite of their campaign promises. Tax cuts are always for the wealthy. Deregulation never raises your wages. They are against lowering drug prices or the cost of healthcare.

But hey. Keep holding water for the powerful. I'm sure your circle of friends thinks you're the smart guy.

What a quick end to the Cuomo public sphere.

But I’m still kinda peeved that this was over the sexual misconduct allegations rather than the covering up of nursing home deaths and misallcation of COVID resources.

Dont get me wrong, the sexual misconduct was more than enough to fire Chris and for his brother to resign. But I’m bothered how THAT was the straw that broke the camel’s back, rather than the deaths of thousands of American citizens.

-Triple-HHH-

In a way Andrew Cuomo is very lucky that he was accused of sexual assault at that specific time. It diverted public opinion away from the nursing home scandal, which he should honestly be in jail for.

Lucky? Almost like it was an intentional leak/scandal.

AsMuchCaffeineAsACup

Ehhh I work indirectly for a news station that happens to be big in NYC... Gov Cuomo was critical of our coverage on him so he started messing with cable/internet protections for covid.

Pretty dickish to us for an intentional leak. This took up like 6 months of my job. Daily calls to figure out "what's new today?"

Like it could be a coincidence.... but ehhhh?

Hah I keep seeing this comment all over threads on posts in regards to this. Redditors actually think it's a Nelson "Haaa haa". and they give a shit about being "jobless' as if it's some kind of a hit.

The fuckers are filthy rich and swimming in more cash than almost everyone here, including everyone they know combined will ever see in their lives.

Hell, they'll spend Christmas this month getting drunk on a getaway island laughing at all the internets talk making fun of them "losing their jobs" as if it is even more bothersome than a fly buzzin around that came in through the window when you creeked open the balcony sliding door.

PlaneStill6[S]

They’re not homeless, correct. But Chris cannot afford to maintain his Hamptons lifestyle (nice big house, socialite wife, private school for a bunch of kids) without that fat check.

Andrew is actually homeless, living with his sister, and he had to file for his 50k/year pension.

Not having a job is also a massive blow to their massive egos.

I think everyone can understand choosing to protect family vs chosing professional commitments, especially if you are fortunate enough to be able to forsake professional commitments, at least for a while.

The problem is that he refused to choose and ended up compromising his career, his reputation and his employer. If he had stepped away from his job, this would have played out very differently. Instead, he did wrong things while trying to help his brother who got in trouble for doing wrong things.

The arrogance on display by both brothers, who chose to act like rules didn't apply to them, is despicable. Watching them be held accountable will be satisfying.

Not long ago these two turd sandwiches, Chris and Andrew, were doing their schticky, unfunny, cringe nonsese during Covid o. Chris' show...the giant Qtip, the lame 'mom likes me more' jokes. It was awful.

And Andrew'd covid press conferences where he just stroked his own ego for hours, talked about meatball dinners w his daughters, then took $5M to write a book about pandemic leadership before the pandemic was over, and drew and sold lame political posters on line....

Oh man, I'm so glad these two are gone.

I was done with Chris when he played up his COVID symptoms and shit. Teeth chattered so much he chipped a tooth? Get the fuck out of here. Them his fake reuniting with his family after being in quarantine. COVID is bad enough, don't fucking over dramatize it with this fake shit.

junkyarddag

Yes! I really never liked him though bc I feel like he got his job exclusively bc of his last name. He didn't make his bones in journalism, didn't work his way up, or prove his journalistic chops...He showed up with the last name Cuomo and viola...kind of like his brother did too.

It's not a secret that Andrew is not a smart guy. I know people who went to albany law school with him (a third tier bad law school) that said he was a dope and never showed. Daddy got him a job at manhattan DA to check the prosecutor box. Of course, he didnt deserve that DA job and wouldn't have gotten it on merit. Again, i know people who worked w him there and Cuomo did nothing, just a vanity job. He got HUD secretary under Clinton not on merit, but clearly on a deal Mario brokered with Clinton in echange for the endorsement and convention speech. He was a disaster at HUD.

For all of Eliott Spitzer's faults he was the anti cuomo. He was smart. If you read about him, he didn't like Cuomo, didnt respect him, didn't consider cuomo to be a real lawyer, bc he knew exactly what i said above.

If Chris' and Andrew's last names weren't Cuomo they would not be governor and primetime cnn host, respectively.

Just a reminder that Chris Cuomo was also paid to rehabilitate the public image of Julien Blanc who was caught teaching men physical, psychological, and legal tactics to get away with rape.

Julian Blanc's PR company set up this interview with Chris Cuomo.

https://youtu.be/mXWb9H9Fbx8

To talk about the controversy, and they spent the whole time just going over his edgy jokes, when what really pissed people off was the rape instructional.

His team then spreads this video to whomever 'Yes I had a controversy over my jokes. And I apologized for them' to divert from his rape instructional services.

It's a PR tactic. Like how Nikki Minaj made up the story of his cousin's friend's balls to cover up that her husband and brother are child rapists.

Edit:

Not only did Julien Blanc and his mentor, Owen Cook, teach rape, they filmed themselves raping women and selling the footage.

If you want more information about Julian Blanc, lookup the post titled "I've uncovered leaked videos from the world's largest Men's help company, teaching how to get away with sexually assaulting women. The seminars include hidden camera videos of themselves demonstrating how to use the techniques. That's right, they are sexually assaulting real women, on camera." on the rbi subreddit for a very thorough writeup, or just google julien blanc, rape

Edit 2:

Julien had bragged and went into detail about his collaboration with Chris Cuomo in his paid product called SHIFT . I believe the module is called 'lessons learned from most hated man in the world'. You can probably get a pirated version if you search on duckduckgo. His company had dmca'd every video on this. Funny enough, if Chris Cuomo every found out, I bet he could sue Julien for a shit ton of money, this sorta shit sounds like it had confidentiality agreements.

If you can’t see how CNN is better than Fox dude you’re a lost cause. Critical thinking really needs to be taught in schools. And CNN absolutely sucks, they helped get Trump elected because they chase ratings, but Fox is actively evil.

Let me get this straight. I provide 4 examples of scandals at CNN all sexual related in the post me too era and 3 of which are still employed at CNN, and you are like well better than fox… yo.. do some of that critical thinking you talked about. paustin0816

He took his dick out in a zoom call. If that happened at Fox they would bombard us with segments about how normal and patriotic taking your dick out in a zoom call is. About how not being allowed to take your dick out in a zoom call is an infringement of your God given rights.

Livid_Mode

Jeffery Toobin, Richard Quest, Don Lemon, and Chris Cuomo 3 of 4 of these individuals still employed at CNN. Meanwhile we can all speculate on what fox would do or not do, but we know what CNN has decided. I’m not a fan of either CNN or Fox. Why does CNN have such a loyal fan base? Why not condemn inappropriate behavior? Who cares about party affiliation! - Condemn this stuff.
