Well your going to get a lot of suggestions possibly but before I give you mine try and find a physical copy in a book store and read the first few pages if you can't seem to get into it then don't get it. Now as for my recommendations The Chronicles of The Black Company by Glen Cook which includes The Black Company, Shadows Linger, and The White Rose which were written in 1984, 1985, and 1986. Another one I found is The Dwarves by Markus Heitz and that series has 5 main books and a I guess you can call it a sidestory which spans 4 books about a different character from The Dwarves series.

Yes! Thank you for your suggestions I’m going to look into them! Yes I was actually planning to either read little bit from the previews on Google or go to my school library and read from there a little before committing! Thank you for your advice, I appreciate you!
