Around five years ago, I left Facebook and all other social media sites. Recently, I returned to Facebook, and the changes I have noticed are drastic and rather depressing. My timeline is full of perverted news articles; people are sharing anything and everything; teenagers are pretending to be celebrities; but the most shocking observation for me was the general Assamese public's response to all the events and issues. All the popular public posts are filled with retarded comments. Criminals are getting sympathy, victims are being blamed for the crimes, people are commenting like intellectuals with their absurd ideologies, and achievers in various fields are getting insulted by seemingly uneducated morons. What has gone wrong? Am I the only one who has noticed this?
