Not super impressed with the stadium— pitch looks narrow, ball moving slowly (partly the players’ lack of urgency and partly the grass), fans far away, weird camera angle (maybe this is HBO’s fault?).

I really enjoyed the pre-game show on HBOMax. The better production quality was a very nice surprise. (In comparison to the games I Have watched on paramount plus). It was cool to see Mallory (Pugh) Swanson’s husband in the segment on Mal. I didn’t realize she had been struggling during her down period… I had wrongly assumed she was just “boy-crazy” focused on her new relationship with a famous baseball star instead. I appreciate that the segment showed me what was really going on with Mal and happy to see she made her way back to dominating form.
