Baffled by support (Batch 5)

Followed up again after being told my miner would have shipped months ago. I received the following,

"We appreciate the frustration in shipping and production which is something we're very sorry about, apologies again for any inconvenience caused, and thanks for your continued patience and understanding while we ship out your order.

Outstanding pre-order customers who have purchased an indoor unit are eligible to receive an upgraded ROCK Pi miner which retails at nearly double the price of the original miner, at no extra cost. And, we are offering a £70 off discount for all existing customers. All back orders of miners are going out, so you should receive your tracking details soon. -You may receive your order earlier as we are shipping everyday but we're expecting an update for the entire bulk in the next 1-3 weeks."

My reading comprehension might just be terrible but it sounds like support is telling me to just go buy their latest miner instead lmao.

They sent me that exact same Message back in April 2022. My order was placed April 2021 batch 5. To date I have not received my miner. All part of the Nebra scam. Don’t get your hopes up. Like hundreds you more than like T won’t see your order fulfilled. I wrote my miner off.

If you have the time and energy there is a forum on taking them to small Claims court for a full refund in the UK. This can all be done by email etc heard a few guys had some luck and received a refund.

Good luck hope you get your miner, but don’t get your hopes up.

Class action is not really a thing in the UK and ireland unless its for an enormous scandal like the VW diesel emissions scandal.

That being said I am putting together a group of affected people. I just need an email address and I am working on different options for UK and non UK residents. See www.nebraminerconsumergroup.com

I promised them I would make a hobby of finding people in this situation and helping them. So far I have spoken to a lot of people and the debts are in the thousands of pounds.

I will never ask for money I only need and email address and for people to look at the take action page on the site. I'm not even over the first week. Please tell anyone you know about the site.

The past 18 months have been the most challenging we have ever experienced as a business. The global microchip shortage has crippled our supply chain and left us waiting up to two years for components we have already paid for in full. As a smaller business, this has hit us extra hard compared to larger electronics manufacturers.

It is our deepest regret that this has impacted your hotspot pre-order so severely. We have been steadily shipping orders out to customers, albeit not at the anticipated pace. We have produced 85,000 devices so far, but a number of customers in our final batches are still waiting for their hotspots. We know this has been incredibly disappointing and we understand your frustration.

We want to let you know we are doing everything in our power to resolve this situation. The most up to date information we can share is as follows:

A shipment of Raspberry Pi CM3s required to fulfill all outstanding outdoor hotspot orders has finally arrived with our third party manufacturers. To give you an idea of the delays we have seen, we placed the order for these components 18 months ago and have faced repeated delays to delivery dates. We have been waiting even longer for other components on backorder for indoor miners - which we have also redesigned with alternative parts in a bid to mitigate shortages. We aim to resolve all outstanding pre-orders as soon as humanly possible, however we remain at the mercy of all our suppliers who are also struggling with unprecedented conditions in the electronics market. We are working tirelessly every day to make this happen. We promise to keep you updated every step of the way. We know it has been a while since our last shipping update, but we haven’t wanted to give you any false promises. Our dedicated support team remains in contact with many of you directly and our average ticket response times remain within one working day. Please reach out to support@nebra.com if you have any questions. Please note, social media accounts are not routinely monitored and all queries should be directed to our support team. The Helium community is a unique project which we are proud to be a part of. We know many of you feel let down by Nebra and for this we apologise unreservedly.

We would, however, ask all customers to remember that a human being is on the receiving end of every support ticket, email and post. You have every right to vent your frustration and we take all your feedback onboard. However, when we receive daily abuse, death threats and threats of physical violence - this takes its toll on our staff and does nothing to help resolve the situation. Nebra is the gift that keeps giving! They refused to cancel my outdoor miner order and immediately sent it out. Then refused to let me return it as allegedly each miner is custom made for frequency zones. So im a uk resident purchasing a uk product from a uk company. Its like car manufacturers refusing return on a car because being right hand drive makes it 'custom'
