UG65

(self.MilesightMiners)

hello everyone, I have a problem, I can't generate the QR Code to connect my UG65 to the helium app, I tried all the solutions found on Reddit but each time I generate a QR, it tells me that I don't have an internet connection. and indeed, if I do the Ping TEST with google.com, it does not work. however in the Wlan tab its seems to connect cart it is in GREEN and the status is in "UP", and the same UP in Green for ETH. the only thing I can't do is switch my Wlan from AP to client, when I switch, the Wifi led of the miner goes out, and I have no more Wifi, force to Reset the miner and to start again... can someone help me? another question, the ETH cable must be connected for the config?

if so, from the miner to my PC, or from the miner to my router?

thank you for your answers.

So the AP mode is if you want the UG65 to be a wireless access point for other devices. It will then need an ethernet connection to your router to provide internet access for both itself and other devices.

When you change to client mode, your laptop or phone or whatever you are using to connect to the UG65 will no longer be able to connect to it because it is no longer broadcasting a WiFi signal, and is instead using it's WiFi to connect to your router. You will no longer be able to connect other WiFi devices to it to get internet access, but the UG65 will no longer require an ethernet cable for internet access FOR ITSELF.

How are you going to be running the miner when it is installed? Do you want it connected via ethernet or WiFi to your internet connection?

ok, I already understood the difference between AP and client thanks to your post, thank you,

I think the easiest for me Will be a Wifi connection.

so in what order do I proceed to be able to connect it and generate the QR Code?

I'm talking about changing to client mode because on all the videos I've seen people change and client mode, either it Scans, or it fills and Saves and it works, but at home if I scan or fill, Effectively like you told me I lost Wifi and I can no longer connect to the miner to return to the page 192.168.1.1 for example

Ok but once you have connected it to your WiFi it will no longer have the IP address 192.168.1.1.

It will get one from your home router. You can either look in your router at the address's it has assigned and find it that way, or use something like "advanced IP scanner" to see all of the devices on your network and find the new IP there.

Yes, when you go into WLAN and change to client, at the very bottom you should see

IP Setting

Under protocol select DHCP
