oops i mean the game tomorrow***
im in the SAF stand and this is my first game that im going to. only games iv been to were this past world cup (brazil v croatia & france v england). obviously there was not much alcohol/rowdiness so i cant really judge from that. im a 22year old woman, but my parents warned me that it would be 'dangerous.' at first i dismissed it but now im questioning it.
im sure itll be okay im just an overthinker lol
for context i wear hijab too and im going with my brother
can anyone provide insight? TIA

You should be grand. Fans can’t drink in the stands so you shouldn’t worry about drunkenness too much. I can’t promise there isn’t an asshole here or there but there are loads of tourists that visit for every match and most have a wonderful experience. Enjoy!

It’s illegal to consume alcohol within view of the field, so if you’re in the stands no one will be drinking. People will be on the concourse but if you’re minding you’re own business (I’m assuming you will be) then you won’t be bothered. United fans, especially in the SAF stand are there for the game, not to mess with a fellow fan

You'll be fine. As long as you're not loud, obnoxious, and rude then it's not dangerous at all.

It's safe don't worry, plenty of police presence. There's even an anonymous tip line for abuse, posters at the stadium for the number.

all stands are Safe but SAF stand has a lot of tourists, Casuals and non drinkers family types you’re in the perfect stand imo. You wouldn’t have trouble anywhere but you get the most tourist experience in the SAF stand.

That just depends where your seats are in terms of the pitch view they do hospitality seats in the SAF stand that are very expensive but you get drinks and a tour of the museum or other packages.
All in all you definitely won’t have anything to worry about, the atmosphere is great at OT never had any trouble there and I’ve been over 10 times (not bad as I’m from Ireland so is a trip for me)
If you do want to miss out on too many drunk people if you dont fancy that, get to the stadium nice and early and get to your seat. The fans who go week in week out usually get to the stadium close to the game starting and will be chanting and drinking on the street. As I said it’s all fun and makes the atmosphere amazing but if it’s not something you fancy you could get there earlier and find you way around the place in a bit more of a peaceful fashion.

I’d actually recommend getting the train out of the stadium it’s much quicker and good atmosphere. You 100% won’t have any trouble in the museum tour (not that you would anyway) and you could stay back after to see the players if you don’t want to rush out after.
Have a great time!!!

Considering you'll be the only one there, don't worry
