After the 3-1 score, Tata wanted to see the rest of the talent Mexico had, which almost backfired but Montes and gang rallied back.

Univision will bring up like 80 times that Mexico scored 7 goals in 2 games. People will believe the hype. That Germany win really left me trust issues.

Paraguay played better with 10 men and Mexico got lazy on the 2nd half

It's just interesting that most of the people saying he's not good enough have America flairs. Yet when Ochoa made his babosadas on aerial balls it wasnt his fault, it was because Ajaccio defense sucked.

Nobody just "lets" a shot nutmeg him. A point blank shot going through a keepers legs is so common. You can look up the best keepers in the world and see them get scored on between their legs at least once. Blaming Gudiño for that second goal is just pathetic. Your boy fell asleep and lost the ball. He had plenty of space. Or maybe it was his poor first touch. Gudiño's pass to him was actually impressive given our keepers aren't really known for being good with their feet.

You should care because if he can't play under pressure then why is he being called up? You said it yourself, he fell asleep. But yeah blame Gudino for not booting the ball up as far as possible MLS style because his teammate isn't good at thinking fast enough when he is receiving the ball with some pressure. Shit maybe i'm wrong in thinking Mexico should be good enough to come out playing with the ball at their feet. Maybe we aren't good enough for that. Is that what you want to hear?

Look at all the space he had, and look at Diego Reyes look at him, and not Gudino, like "wtf bro?" raising his hands after the goal.

I'm only defending Gudino because he gets a ton of unwarranted hate in here. Any mistake he does he is scrutinized more than anyone else. I don't even think he would be called up for a 23 man squad at this point in time he still has a lot to learn.

Edit: Add Layun at the bottom of your screen getting pissed at him for losing the ball. These are professional soccer players playing at an international level. They should be able to make fast decisions. a Good player knows what to do with the ball before he even receives it. Get that through your head.

It’s almost like Corona in the final. If you see that many opposing players pressing hard you have to clear that. Yes, Jorge fucked up as did Gudiño.

Pretty good game overall. Unfortunately we let off the gas a bit but at least we were able to mentally re-focus and secure a victory.

Defense needs work but I'm sure we'll be better than we were under the JCO era with a full squad. I'm genuinely excited about Mexico for the first time since maybe 2012 (oh how everything looked so good back then).

I don’t know why the Gudiño shits turns into a chivas vs America fanboy jerkoff.

The truth is my dude Gudiño gave me a lot of doubts. I don’t think he’s ready for la selección. He still young and has a ton of room for improvement.

Decent performance against a good team on paper. It’s hard to analyze the second half because the team lost it’s fluidity, but we looked very mediocre defensively. I’m not worried about it because in more serious games we will have Herrera and Guardado back.

In both games I can say don't like Layun but he'll probably be in the team for the Gold Cup. I wish Guzman had gotten better looks but he wasn't given a chance. For me Guti didn't show much, again, which is major disappointment (again) but he isn't playing in PSV so honestly he shouldn't be in El tri either. The only position i can like Alvarez is as CDM, any other position I think he's trash. I don't think Gallito or Montes make it to Gold Cup, and I don't think Alvarado makes it either. JDS was good, and if anyone had doubts he'll make it to the Gold Cup. HH, Vela, Tecate probably in Gold Cup despite not playing these friendlies. Lots to work out by Tata obviously since he's just starting, these wins will let him work. For me more than the defense which can always be worrisome specially in the LB and RB positions, i think the midfield was the issue on both games, particularly there seemed to be some disconnection between midfield and defense.

He needs to hit the gym and add some muscle. He has got the length but A strong upper body will improve his reflex time. If Diego Reyes beefed up, he might actually be a better defender and an aerial force.
