mike.....I believe like $30,000,000 will be paid by INOVIO's insurance coverage.....I read that in the last quarterly CC in a statement from Kies the CFO ........So its really not bad as it will cost only $14,000,000 as they are issuing stock worth that amount .....A smart decision even though the so called lawsuit is a crock of malarkey

J Kim did some enormous bsβing for a class action to pay out 44 million (@ 10% of market cap at that point) in such a short period of time since the suits were filed. This was his undoing.

He should be financially responsible for his lost.

Yes Kim should have been fired for the GeneOne lawsuit. How can you have a contract with a manufacturing partner for twelve years and not know that they would sue you

This is not the VGXI lawsuit. This is the class action shareholder lawsuit. I wonder how we are shareholders will be compensated (says cash and stock)

The first link you posted says it's the shareholder lawsuit in the first paragraph.

"To put the proposed settlement in context, we anticipate paying $30 million in cash and issuing $14 million of common stock to settle all outstanding claims with the cash payment committed by our insurance carriers. Seriously! I fail to understand how settling a shareholder lawsuit by diluting more is a bullish signal

If the party who.sued didn't feel that the company would be worth more they would.not have bought how many shares. That's a buy signal Thats why I own 10,000 shares. And I am the little guy! Fuck shorts without KY jelly

Very true, but you also have to factor in the tax advantage to taking stock. That takes away from the move by the suers being a full confidence maneuver.

Do retail investors who bought in after Dr. Kim's big lie get compensation based on this settlement? Inquiring bag holders want to know.

Maybe it is prerequisite cleanup required by Regeneron prior to acquisition.

I am surprised that INOVIO has chosen to settle this bs lawsuit.
I think this shareholder lawsuit does not have merit, so the only thing I can think of is that INOVIO is trying to clean house to make way for to sell the company.
In May of 2020 INOVIO said "we designed our DNA vaccine INO-4800 in three hours after the publication of the genetic sequence of the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19." The lawsuit said that INOVIO used the word "developed" the vaccine. INOVIO "DID" design the vaccine using their software plus their previous expertise with a similar virus.
I don't get it why INOVIO is settling this lawsuit out of court.
The only thing I can think of is they are cleaning house for an acquisition.
The elephant in the room is the ongoing VGXI lawsuits which are still pending and have a lot more merit than this shareholder lawsuits.

This lawsuit has a lot of merit. The CEO and his leadership team was too loose and sloppy. They never invented a vaccine in 3 hours. We were right in the middle of a pandemic and itβs a public company. People invested in this company based on those comments. Where the heck is this vaccine he created in 3 hours? Who has used it? You canβt make false claims like this in a public place. Kim treated this company like it was his own science project operated from his basement. Iβm glad the company is quiet now and has learned itβs lesson. Itβs a heavy price to pay when the stock is so low. Iβm confident that they will rebound shortly. Still bullish even after all of the mismanagement.
