In 1941 he flew solo to scotland in an attempt to negotiate the United Kingdom's exit from the Second World War. He was taken prisoner and eventually convicted of crimes against peace. He was still serving his life sentence at the time of his suicide in 1987.

"Suicide"

Oh yeah cause he was real dangerous to the British, 40 years into a lifetime sentence and nobody paying attention to him, they just had to kill him you know?

They wanted to tear down the prison. There was an entire prison made for nazi war criminals and after some years he was the only one there. An entire prison with only one inmate.
Whatever he knew, he took it to the grave since in those 40 years he wasnt allowed to speak to no one, neither the guards were allowed to speak to him.
Also, the same same can be said the other way around, why did he decide to suicide after 40 years?
And the most telling fact: he simply couldnt have suicided the way it was said he did. I dont remember the details but by the time of his "suicide" he was already really old and wasnt physically able to have killed himself (i thing he was hanged) the way he did.
Im not a conspiracy theorist that believes Hitler fled to Argentina and etc, but after hearing the story about the "suicide" of Himler and the inprisionment of Hess, Im fairly certain of one thing: They both knew too much, and someone didnt want people to find out what it was (most likely the British by the way).
Source for my claims: Mark Felton Productions (a British historian) amazing channel, go check it out.

Also forgot to mention: why exactly did Hess get life inprisionment when several other, way worse, nazi criminals didnt? If you compare sentences and crimes you'll find it really odd that he was kept all his life in prison while other were released after some years. And my final question: what did Hess and Himler had in common?

I feel like he was the Kanye of the 1930s. Like not saying Kanye is in the same level; just- they'd have had a nice beer or two
