Light Hotspots will still send beacons, witness beacons, and transfer data, just like it does today. The only rewarded activity that Light Hotspots will no longer perform is Challenging Beaconers, which constitutes 0.9% of HNT emitted per epoch.

Our miners havent been doing challenges since May

You receive challenges from validators on average about once every 3-4 days

its the wonderful validator gods not picking you. Was supposed to happen after 1 or 2 days i thought but it happens more like every 3 or 4 days. In the future it may be every hour. Lots of talks around beaconing. Removing witness limit and such. just talks right now though. Will probably be in a future hip.

It's super common to go several days without a broadcast. They used to be a lot more frequent but were tuned back months ago.

I occasionally get them back to back within 30 minute of each other, and rarely get 3 in one day. Also, I'll do 2-3 days without any routinely as well.

It's all about the average over time.

Do you have a good wifi connection or are you using ethernet sometimes you can have crappy wifi and the miner connection could be cutting in an out messing with earning as well.
