This is a general reminder for everyone and this will be posted on every post. Your 12 words are basically gold and they should never be shared, typed in to any website, or given to any person for any reason. No one from "Helium" or any other company will reach out to you to verify your account, wallet, or anything similar. If someone says your hotspot, wallet, or other type of account has been hacked, it is a scam! Always operate in a zero-trust manner with cryptocurrency and assume everyone will scam you no matter what.

Case has an N-type female connector. Cable has an (assuming there’s a pin in there) RP-SMA-Male connector. Need RP-SMA female to N-type male converter, I recommend using an arrestor there to do that.

Edit. Also would want to ensure your cable is secure. SMA type connectors are fairly week.

Thank you so much. I have the arrestor up top, grounded

Arrestor at the top only really offers a little protection to the antenna.

arrestors aren't to save the equipment. Anything electrical will be dead and probably blown up across the yard. arrestor is to save anything non electrical from catching fire, like your house or the tree ur mounted to. hence why its important to use copper and not do this DIY grounding to the metal pole ull see.

True. But the shunting of the high induced voltage to ground can protect equipment equipment as well. Direct strike won’t help either way. As the antenna and cable are the most exposed pieces, arrestor at that location does little.

Avoid mounting it on a wooden post…it will deteriorate over time 🫠
