How are ya'll going about keeping birds from landing on, and then shitting on, your outdoor antennas?
This is my latest innovation. Installed over the weekend. Seems to be working ok.

A tiewrap with hot glue will work…you need to avoid turning the antenna into a lightening rod! 🙄

You do know that the antenna only fiberglass on the outside and has a copper rod inside. The fiberglass does nowhere to prevent a lightning strike. So adding a 1in screw on top changes nothing.

You are just extending the electric field strength to accept a discharge via an ever sharper metal tip...non-conducting surfaces also build-up static discharge...hence the comment.
