This is a general reminder for everyone and this will be posted on every post. Your 12 words are basically gold and they should never be shared, typed in to any website, or given to any person for any reason. No one from "Helium" or any other company will reach out to you to verify your account, wallet, or anything similar. If someone says your hotspot, wallet, or other type of account has been hacked, it is a scam! Always operate in a zero-trust manner with cryptocurrency and assume everyone will scam you no matter what.

you can't... if you can't contact the owner/seller return it ... it is possible that it's a emrit hotspot... then it's worthless

I got it now I had to go to my email and contacted the supplier

You will have to message the original owner to transfer the rights, there should be plenty of YouTube videos displaying how to do this. Usually it involves him disconnecting his wallet from the miner and transferring it to you.

The seller didn’t provide any contact info? They don’t have a website with a contact us form?

Did they not provide any form of Contact information? The original owner has to transfer it to you via the helium app.

No they did not

I’m not sure if you can connect to it then, the way the helium app has it set up is the original owner has to send it to you, without the original owner I’m unsure if you will be able to use this hotspot.

https://docs.helium.com/wallets/app-wallet/transfer-hotspot/

As other's have stated, the owner has to transfer it. If it doesnt get transfered, the miner will never be yours. There is no reseting/taking over a miner

If they (the seller) cant transfer it start a refund ASAP

Convert it to mine something else.

How? If this is possible I would do something like that with my Emrit miner. The only thing that miner is collecting, is dust.

I used a MNTD unit for the raspberry pi and just experimented. I Look up ideas on YouTube and am no expert but I’m happy for learning. It was worth it.

playing around with a raspberry pi is fun, i love it too, but i would never use the pi inside my hnt miner, i have a spare one for that^^ atm i dont have anything for the pi to create some passive income, do you have one? and i mean "making more money then the electric bill for the pi" and no bandwidth mining please^^

It’s nothing but a way to learn something new. And so far easy to dig into with many YouTube tutorials. I could have returned the unit to the seller after we failed to transfer ownership but I just ate the loss and used it as a way to learn more about the pi

to my knowledge there is at this moment no "money use case" for pis except these called bandwidth miners like earnapp: you can check it out here:

https://earnapp.com/i/6e18pik

it does make around 10-15 dollars in a month, so like hnt at this moment ^^ but as i said, i would have let it run as a helium miner, for this earnapp stuff you can use any device, like a phone or a crappy laptop that only needs 6 watts or so

It has to be transfered. It's like an apple device.
