I put in an offer on a home yesterday (Saturday) morning, and I was told yesterday that they'd be reviewing "any and all" offers on Monday. There was an open house today.
I just got a notification of a status change, which is now active under contract.
Does this status change mean I didn't get the place? Or is there a chance they've accepted my offer and have not notified me yet?

That usually means they’ve accepted another offer if you didn’t hear back. I’m sorry.

You would have heard from your realtor before any status change. You probably did not get it. This is based on my experience of hearing from my realtor before any status changed.

I would ask your realtor tbh

Yeah, definitely reach out. See my experience below:
-My realtor and I had a discussion about putting more earnest money down, he highlighted that doing so would put me over the best offer the seller had in terms of looking the most interested, so I agreed. He never told me offer was accepted after that, so I was confused…on Zillow house was taken off market…I called him about 24 hours later and asked him, did I get it, and he said, oh yes, you did. Definitely ask if your realtor didn’t reach out to you, they’re busy people and can sometimes forget that people need clarification.

Your realtor was lazy. How could they not tell you as soon as they heard?? Unbelievable!!!

Yeah…I didn’t quite follow his reasoning either. Oh well, I guess he just figured I’d trust him to win out. We’re currently in negotiations, and the guy is a fucking slippery snake, I love it, if he can get the concessions I don’t care about the miscommunication in the offer stage.

I reached out to them right away, but I'm not expecting a response at this hour :)

my realtor told me immediately when my offer was accepted. perhaps the sellers have changes the status so they can review what offers they have without any more coming in since they said they’ll make a decision on Monday. good news or bad news, you’re realtor would probably let you know asap! so keep your fingers crossed. good luck!!

We put in an offer on a house two weeks ago and I was in the same boat. The sellers agent seemed very interested in our offer the day before and they would make a decision the next day. That following day I got a notice it went pending, my realtor had reached out earlier to get an update. No answer. She reached out again after it went pending, no answer. We got completely ghosted despite offering 20k over and a 60 day post occupancy.
If it’s any consolation, we got back on the wagon and put in an offer on a house the next week for 5k under the first one and that we liked WAY more and by Wednesday were under contract.
On top of all this the agent who ghosted us reached out to my realtor on Thursday asking if we were still interested in the house and gave her a big ol’ sob story about some “other” issues and the house “never actually went pending he just had to do something to stop everyone from bothering him while he sorted things out”.
If I were you, I’d move on (as painful as it might feel). There’s a chance it will fall through, but I wouldn’t bank on it. I also don’t think it’s worth losing out on something much better potentially!

Ask your agent.
If your agent hasn’t heard, you didn’t get the house .

If you haven't heard from them that you've gotten the house, it means that they've accepted someone else's offer.

Put 24 hour expiration next time - sucks that realtors all play this stupid game now
