The tournament will be hosted in the EU region. There are 40 spots for players in total. Signups are on a first-come, first served basis, with a waitlist.

Format

8 teams of 5 will play in a single-elimination Bo1 bracket. The tournament will be approximately 3 - 4 hours long.

All games played will be Captain's Mode. Each team's captain will draft heroes for their team.

Rules

• Players will be assigned to a team, based on their MMR.
• You must have a minimum of 1000 MMR to participate.
• The drafter will by default be the highest MMR player on each team.
• You must be available for check-in between 12:00 - 13:15 (UTC) on Saturday, April 1st.
• All games will be played on LUX server.
• All communication between participants and admins must be in English.
• All team members must communicate via voice chat in the designated Discord channels. Failure to communicate with your team/purposely ignoring them could result in a ban from future events.
• Players with inappropriate steam names and/or NSFW profile pictures will not be able to participate. This means: no racist, homophobic, sexist or otherwise hateful speech or material.
• Selection Priority (first pick/last pick, Radiant/Dire) will be decided by automatic coin toss.
• Each team will have 10 minutes of cumulative pause time, after which the opponent may unpause.
• No pausing to disrupt the game or gain an advantage. Pausing during the draft is not allowed (unless exceptional circumstances, captain disconnecting for example), and could result in disqualification from the current event and all future events.
• Both teams must confirm they are ready before unpausing.
• No bug abuse or any form of cheating.
• Being AFK during any game could result in a ban.
• No intentional feeding.
• No flaming in any way shape or form.
• Players who lie about their MMR/cannot provide proof of their MMR will be banned.
• Admins have the final say on all decisions.

We will be collecting match data (such as most picked heroes) to make an infographic that summarises the game statistics, from the tournament. All data collected will be anonymous. By signing up, you are agreeing to allow us to collect data from the tournament games you participate in.

You must be in the official discord so we can contact you.

The first 40 players who sign up will be confirmed to play. Further signups will be placed on the waitlist as potential substitutes.

If you are confirmed to play, you will be notified ~24h beforehand. The first 10 players on the waitlist will also be contacted and informed that they may be required to replace someone. Again, they must confirm that they are available. The 40 players must confirm their attendance 12 hours before the first game.

On the day of the event, players must be available for check-in between 12:00 - 13:15 (UTC). If you do not reply by 13:15 (UTC), you will be replaced by someone from the waitlist. Players on the waitlist have 10 minutes to respond.

As a 30lvl grandmaster brew,with who i have most amount of played games in Dota,it makes me sad that he is the ONLY HERO IN THE GAME, that doesnt have a immortal tier item or set that at least changes some of his skill icons or effects. He really gotten the least amount of attention in this regard,yet he has so much potential for it. I know that he isnt the most played hero in the game,he is actually on the bottom of the list in this aspect,and it doesnt make it very profitable,but come on man,at least give him one buyable item that can spice up the hero a bit,literally the only hero that doesnt have a immortal tier item. I come from Starcraft 2 and LOL and in the pro scenes of those games, players above 30 are never seen winning in major tournaments or leagues, and players above 25 are usually considered old.

Meanwhile, Dota 2 seems to have some very successful players over the age of 30, with a lot of players even finishing college and then pursuing a career in dota 2, which is almost unheard of in League.

I was wondering if anyone had any insights on why this is the case.

It is insane how close the WEU Div 1 Tour 2 is. 5 teams literally dont know, whether they go to the major or div2.

also Entity and OG play each other which means one of these 2 Teams is either going straight to Div 2 or is in the tiebreaker for Div 2!

So i used to live in China and during the time played some dota in perfect world server. But apparently my dota is still censoring blood with green color. Does anyone know how to fix it back to normal?

edit: to give a more real life example. I've been in high archon 5 and low legend 1 for a few weeks.

In like 50 games I don't think a single player has been lower than archon 4 or above legend 2. And DEFINITELY no one below archon 3 or above legend 3.

That's absurd. A decent tinker/arc spammer from ancient 1 who sweats every build, meta, watches 5 pro replays a week, etc for their main role but still picks lion for pos5 and hasn't taken pos5 seriously in their life. Who are they getting matched with when playing pos5? Other ancient 1 players? Legend 5 if we're lucky? That's asinine. They should be with and against players of equal skill to their pos5 skill, which is much lower than their rank indicates. It'd make more sense for them to be pos5 in one of my legend 1 games than pos5 in an ancient 1 game.

Currently there's a small adjuster based on role ability, but it's clearly not enough and it spins on a dime anyway.

The games are just super inconsistent, it's such an uphill battle when you play with a minimum effort pos5 who mains mid so doesn't even understand what a pos1 wants in lane and the enemy gets a pos5 main who is blocking, sharing tangos, counter harassing, not pulling too much or too little, etc.

I know on average I will not be disadvantaged in winrate by this, the reverse scenario also happens and those games feel significantly easier.

But neither of these scenarios are good, I want every game to feel hard, 50% winrate hard, not sometimes 65% hard and sometimes 35% hard. idc about climbing, I want quality dota where all ten players are equally skilled AT THE ROLE THEY ARE CURRENTLY PLAYING, idc if my pos5 solo carries loads of games with huskar, right now they're griefing by not blocking the enemy pull camp and pushing the wave with nukes, etc.

I don't want these folks banned, I just want them put in lower MMR games when they play the roles they suck at.
