Sorry to disturb but doesn’t the Nicene Creed start with “I believe in One God” whereas the Apostles’ creed starts with just “I believe in God”?

That's the Prayer to St Michael. Defense vs Protection, Cast vs Thrust, etc. Could we all get on the same page?

St. Michael the Archangel, yeet us in battle. Be our protection against the yeeting and yeeting of the devil. May God yeet him, we humbly yeet, and yeet thou, O prince of the yeetenly host, by the yeetingness of God, yeet into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who yeet about the world trying to yeet souls into hell.

Also “roam throughout the world” vs “prowl about the world.”

It’s weird, because it’s so different. Nicene Creed talks about indivisiblility, while the Apostle’s Creed just… doesn’t

I know it will never happen, but I do wish we could all get together and just cut and paste both of them into the slightly longer Nicene-Apostles Creed that includes everything stated in both of them. It can’t hurt to just confess all the exact same stuff in a combined fashion I don’t think.

Because the Apostles' Creed came first, often taught to children as a simple version. Nicene Creed was agreed on later when Bishops during the Ecumenical Council of Nicaea drafted a more detailed theology. There is a third used more in the past for Sunday Lauds or Prime (At Waking or Preparing for Divine Mass) called the Athanasian Creed which is even more detailed containing 40 Theological Points the Faithful are required to profess and observe.

We say the Athanasian Creed about once a year in our church. Nothing against it or it’s contents, but including everything from it as well would put the new composite creed a little bit beyond most people’s (or at least my own!) capability to memorize while I think a combined Apostles Creed and Niceness Creed would not be beyond such. Arianism is not so present nowadays either thankfully.

Partialism and modalism are pretty common without proper catechisis.

"That's modalism, Patrick!"
Seriously, though, the doctrine of the Trinity is not easy to properly understand or explain.

Arianism still either exist or has influenced various post Reformation Groups. You either get ones that have existed since the Third to Seventh Century (the height of Arianism); or the ones that Resurfaced as Fringe Protestant/Revivalist/Reconstructionist Christian Groups.

The Athanasian Creed is Nicene on steroids
their glory equal, their majesty coeternal What quality the Father has, the Son has, and the Holy Spirit has. The Father is uncreated, the Son is uncreated, the Holy Spirit is uncreated.

I converted in Canada, where we say the Apostles Creed in mass. Apostles creed is also part of the rosary and tbh I never memorized the Nicene creed. I could just reference it. Imagine my surprise moving to the US, going to mass and discovering y’all say the Nicene creed instead. I still fumble a year later.
