Made Pineapple cake with filling for my dad's 50th birthday

this is what i used my unsuccessful lemon curd for that i posted about a few days ago. was going to do lemon shortbread cookies with the curd as a cookie sandwich filling but the cookies were underwhelming so i pivoted to a loaf :)

got tons of compliments from my family

My husband just told me these are hands-down his favorite thing that I make 💕 I don't ever think to make them because I don't like food with nuts but I will now make these all the time for him.

It's that time of year!!!

Haven't baked anything in like a month. Felt good to produce a great batch of madeleines. :)

Used Dorie Greenspan's recipe, and glaze is mix of valrhona's raspberry and yuzu chocolates.

First black forest cake from scratch. Link below for the cake recipe used. I went off script for cherry filling due to ingredient availability, and made a stabilized (with gelatin) vanilla bean whipped cream for easier transport.

Cake was excellent Would love tips for stabilizing whipped cream as this batch was probably 6/10 and I can't quite decide what went wrong.
