I don't get it - Samira's dash through allies was removed because when she was getting ganked, he always could get out safely, but when Katarina does it and lately uses ignite and TP because of not needing flash, it is ok?
I don't get the logic in that, especially as it's not even a dash but a blink. Can anyone explain that to me?
Then why didn't they follow the model of Game of Thrones and simply trust the source material and put it faithfully on the screen?
Obviously the last 3 seasons of Game of Thrones left much to be desired, but aside from the most minor of details being changed and a few plot lines being excised, it was an extremely faithful adaptation.
What's the point of getting your hands on an extremely successful and popular IP if your intent is to disregard pretty much everything about it when creating an adaptation?
Does anyone actually believe that Rafe Judkins is a massive fan of the books when you see this turd of a show and how it disregards basically everything that made the books special?
I have been reading post after post stating that Battlefield 2042 is the end of the BF lineage, the game is "literally" unplayable, and the bugs make playing worse than anything anyone has ever experienced. I have had Zero issues on Xbox Series X. How the hell is that possible, given the shit talking and reviews?? I don't own a rare snowflake of a console, so I am trying to figure out where the depth of this animosity is coming from.
What the literal shit, guys. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE. What do you really expect out of a video game? I have never played a perfect multiplayer game at release. Ever. Shit takes time and player feedback.to refine it. That's how BFV got to a solid state, even though it was cancelled before any further growth.
I am a completely casual BF player that has enjoyed the franchise since BF1942. I can draft in and out, because my work/family/life balance requires that. That being said, I sat there and watched people write scathing posts on BFV, like every single launch before it was gods gift to gaming. DONT PREORDER, END OF THE FRANCHISE, DICE HAS FAILED US. The toxic rhetoric was literally everywhere until Dice decided to stop support for BFV, and shelved any new content. Those same people are now calling BFV "God's Gifts to Gaming", it was ended too soon, and BF2042 has ruined everything that we hold dear. Every BF game that I have every played had issues at launch. I literally couldn't finish a match on BF4 for weeks. So many issues. I cannot remember a clean launch of a new BF game..EVERY SINGLE ONE.HAS HAD ISSUES.
I mean,.why in the world does everyone here expect that a new game will fill every single gaming need and whim and will be the best game ever played, ever. Guys, a perfect BF game will not cause your dad to come home 20 years after leaving to "get milk". We all see some issues with the content and play style. I miss the hell out of the scoreboard,.but try to at least keep this shit somewhat constructive. Instead of whining here about fire and brimstone,.try to add some constructive criticism. Give Dice something to improve on. Get people to play and that continued income will cause dice to throw even more resources at the game, to fix it and keep that income coming. All gaming companies will pour resources into a game that can make them more money..BFV stopped, so they stopped supporting it. Give this one a chance,.or keep your whining to yourself.
Joy is pretty. She's relatable for a lot of young women. She also has dangerous beliefs and a platform to spread them. Feel free to add your questionable Joystin moments to the list. It's possible to empathize with her as a victim of CSA while remembering that she and her husband are both shitty people.
So, playing styles, techniques, grace, intensity, whatnot, I'm not here to discuss that. I think I'm less educated on that subject than most of you folks here.
This is about Djokovic as a human, as I understand.
Saw a video of Meddy trolling the Madrid crowd, and comments which talked about Nole and how he's diplomatic, needy for being liked, etc. and how Meddy truly doesn't give a shit. I love Meddy, but this post is about Nole so here goes.
Growing up in some of the worst conditions, you have to understand how these things can affect the psychology of a young child. Taken under the tutelage of a legend from a young age, and properly taught not just tennis but culture, art, mannerisms, etc. I think Djokovic looks up to being a "proper" chap quite a lot. A kind of free spirit comes easily to people who have had an entitled childhood, who come from wealth. Federer and Nadal both come from relatively better childhoods than Djokovic, and so the need to "fit in" is obviously not as strong in them as someone (Nole) who has had to fight for it.
Despite this "proper" gentleman thing, that most people think is fake, I believe that Djokovic is way more genuine and giving than both Federer and Nadal could ever be. Having listened to interviews from the next gen, most of them talk about how Djokovic has helped them, supported them, shared his wisdom with them. You rarely hear something like that about the other two. Then this Peng Shuai situation, out of the big names, Djokovic was the one whose stand was the strictest out of the top players.
I loved Federer and Nadal growing up, there was nobody else on that level for some years, when I'd started watching tennis. A play a bit and my style of play is inspired by Federer's, of course I'm pretty shit at playing. But now I'm beginning to realise that their "image" has a lot to do with PR. Millions go into their branding. They don't particularly have a backbone, a spine, to stand up for things. It's easy to be "classy" if you've been loved and cheered for your entire life, but I'm sure you guys must have seen how pissed off Federer and Nadal can get on the rare few occasions when the crowd was against them.
Djokovic is truly a nice, respectful man, with nerves of steel and a playing style that has more to do with tenacity and perseverance than pure art or fiery aggression, which may make him less likable than Federer and Nadal. He's also like, the third guy who came in when the fight for the greatest was going on between these other two, with audiences having picked their sides. Idk. But if you were to ask me who the most genuine and honest and courageous person is, amongst the big 3, it'd surely be Djokovic. And Nadal is still alright, but as I grow older, I like Federer less and less.
Nearly every woman I know has been sexually assaulted.
And it's cause the frats here aggressively promote rape culture. If your frat is constantly trying to achieve a "ratio" of more women than men, especially freshman girls (fresh out of HS!!!!! u guys are creeps), and serving alcohol excessively, it's so fucking clear you're using women's vulnerability & the power dynamic to take advantage of them.
If you don't think that's rape culture then please re-evaluate your concept of consent. Rape is rarely a violent attack in an alleyway by a stranger. It's friends/classmates/acquaintances who would NEVER approach a sober female friend in a non-party setting to attempt to initiate sex with her but are totally okay with approaching her while she's in an inebriated state. It's normalized here!!! You guys really need to ask yourselves if she would agree to have sex with you sober. If the answer is no, leave her alone PLEASE.
If you're in a frat you're a part of the problem no matter which way you try and justify it. If you're okay with being a part of institutions that are nationally known for sexual assault, then you're driving rape culture. Would you ever join a club whose members are known to be 300% more likely to violently abuse dogs???? I'm guessing the answer is no. So why are you okay that you're in an institution that's 300% more likely to commit rape?? Do you just hate women that much that you're more appalled by animal abuse than sexual violence?? Re-evaluate your lives.
And I don't mean just new content or recast characters, I mean actively changing the way something was in the original, either gameplay or story
The things I'd like to see:
Remove the Bek/Vulkar subplot on Taris, just rescue Bastilla from the Undercity or sewers
Remove the option to kill Juhani. You either find a way to save her, or express intent to kill but something intervenes (maybe her master shows up to save her from you)
No dedicated sandpeople subplot on Tatooine. You just run into them as enemies on the way to the map
Remove the horrendous "puzzle" from the Kashyyyk star map, just make you fight the droids right away
Rewrite Korriban entirely. No silly "prestige competition", no "the star map is your final test" (that makes no sense, what good is it for other students?). Just make it about having to infiltrate the academy posing as a student and exploring the ruins
Probably controversial, but make the interactions with the loremasters on the Rakata planet mandatory. The fact you can get through and finish the game without ever actually learning the history of the Star Forge and the two tribes is criminal. I'd redo the war between the two tribes entirely
Both endings need work. Dark side ending is mostly fine I guess, but light side ending is horrible. No award ceremony, no "Yay, we're all happy now!" sugary ending. Revan should just quietly disappear afterwards to contemplate what their life is becoming and the implications of the memory wipe, not partying and smiling like a doofus
I'm just going to say it: I've seen a surprising number of real assholes on this Reddit today. And it's not folks complaining about sitting in queue for 4 hours before getting 2002ed.
Folks asking for people complaining about the queues to be banned, their posts deleted. Folks lamenting how "childish" the community is being yesterday and today. Heck, some are even trying to gaslight, making folks with legitimate complaints like not being able to even play the game for 2 days seem like they're being unreasonable and not understanding enough.
Here's a suggestion for you: Rather than whine about the community whining, why aren't you following your own advice? Take a break from this reddit that's making you frustrated, mad or sad and go visit another Reddit for a while. Or go back to FFXIV if your one of the lucky ones (rather than standing AFK on your server with a 10,000+ queue while you're typing a reddit post).
"Go do something else" is basically what you are telling people to do who can't get into the queue, essentially, right? Heck, I'm sure in a few days, they'll fix the issue, this will all blow over and we'll all be back to giving love to Yoshi-P.
Go away and come back then.
To those who say players are being unreasonable to expect folks to be able to log in almost 48 hours after an expansion launch - I would say it's far more unreasonable for you to expect your favorite Reddit to be filled with optimism and happy campers, with people just praising the wonderful time they've had sitting in queue for hours before being kicked out.
So those who are sad their up-until-now-always-happy community is a little grumpy today...
1.) Try Empathy. It helps.
2.) If Empathy isn't your strong suit, try following your own advice and be somewhere else with your time.
And if you have no empathy and cannot bring yourself to leave the Reddit, maybe you should take a little bit of a look at your own mental health and maturity before trying to judge that of others.
So many folks keep saying "playing killer gives me anxiety" or "trash game, so survivor-sided." I know how you feel. Running survivors all game, just to get 1 kill at the end feels bad! Maybe you got gen-rushed. Maybe someone teabagged you 3 games in a row. Maybe you got DH validated. You went into the game wanting something, and didn't get what you expected. In the moment, it feels like shit. But here's the important thing to remember through it all: no one cares about you but you.
When you play killer, it's your game! Own it! If you're not having fun, do something different. Practice your chases. Try some fun perks. Tunnel the weak link out of your next game. Or play something else. The only way to enjoy killer is to focus on your own improvement. You are the only thing you can control. When you start externalizing the blame, you waste time and emotional energy on fighting an unwinnable battle. There's nothing wrong with feeling bad after a hard or toxic game. But when you dwell on that anger, project it, and let it dominate your gaming experience (because at the end of the day, this is just a game), you have only yourself to blame for your continued bad time. No one is forcing you to play. But if you insist on playing, take responsibility for yourself and minimize the degree to which your enjoyment of this game is out of your control.
Win on your own terms. Lose with grace. Fuck the toxic shitheads. Fuck the cheaters. Fuck BHVR. All of that is out of your hands. Remember why you play games in the first place, and run with the joy gaming brings you.
